The IVRPA Board of Directors is pleased to announce a series of contests, with the goal to showcase the work of IVRPA members at Photokina 2008. The largest event in the Photography industry worldwide! Like the previous editions of this biannual event, the IVRPA has secured a booth at this great event.

Winning prints and interactive images will be displayed at Photokina 2008 in Cologne, Germany from September 23 to 28. After Photokina, the exhibition will travel to the Panorama Mesdag museum in The Hague (NL), and possibly other locations.

The contests are open to all current IVRPA members. In an effort to work more closely together with the IAPP (International Association of Panoramic Photographers), special arrangements have been set up to allow IAPP members to enter the contest, though entries by IAPP members will only make up a limited part of the total exhibition.

There will be three major categories in this year's contest:
* Stills/Print gallery,
* Gigapixel images,
* Interactive images.
Each of these categories will be open in turn. We are pleased to announce that the entry period for the Stills/Print gallery is now open! The last day for submission to the Contest is Sunday July 6, 2008. Entries are closed July 7, 2008. All dates and times are in central european time (CET).

Once you have prepared your entries and reviewed the rules, you can submit entries to the site here: http://contests.ivrpa.org/node/add . You need to be logged in and registered as a current member before you can post entries.
